FLOODING IN GHANA
The Ghana National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has revealed that approximately 3,000 residents in Accra’s Odawna area were affected by severe flooding, following Sunday’s torrential downpour. Odawna remains one of the hardest-hit communities, with rising water levels submerging homes, displacing residents, and causing extensive property damage.
With the generous support of Philanthropist Dr Ansah, The Van Calebs’ Walking Stick Foundation quickly amassed donations of 100-5kg bags of rice to distribute to one of the hardest hit compounds.
Your donation today will help provide food and essential everyday necessities, such as diapers, slippers, clothing, and other essentials, to those in need.
Van Calebs (Ghana) and Bruce F Brown (USA), registered The Walking Stick Foundation as a nonprofit NGO in Ghana in 2019 with the goal of providing support to underprivileged children and elderly women in Central Ghana. The Global Pandemic and the ensuing economic crisis only made the need for The Foundation more urgent.
