We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Nana Nhyira Boahene as a speaker for this year's Mentorship 101 under the theme "Dare to Dream."
Dr. Boahene has made a remarkable impact in the field of optometry and eye care advocacy in Ghana. From her early days as an intern at Komfo Anokye and Korle Bu Teaching Hospitals to her current work with Frederick’s Eyecare and The See Right Project, she is changing lives by providing free, comprehensive eye care and raising awareness about preventable blindness.
A proud alumna of Aburi Girls' Senior High School and KNUST, she made history as the first female Chief of Staff of the KNUST SRC. Her passion has led her to feature on major media platforms like UTV, TV3, Okay FM, GHOne, and MX24, advocating for better vision care.
As a member of ARVO, the World Council of Optometry, and a candidate fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), Dr. Boahene continues to push boundaries in her field. She also stands as a trailblazer, being the first Ghanaian optometrist to be featured on eyeknoworg_ in the United States.
Join us at Mentorship 101 as she shares her inspiring journey, breaking barriers in STEM and healthcare, and encouraging young minds to *dare to dream big!🚀👁️
