Child Sanitation Diplomat

The reigning Child Sanitation Diplomat, Artaldus Sung Kuuntanaa on Wednesday 13th May, 2026, with the support of his project partners, World Vision Ghana, Kings Hall Media, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Zoomlion Foundation and Ghana Education Service SHEP, launched his one year campaign and organised a Policy Summit on WASH in Schools. Present at the programme were the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, the Director of Finance and Support Services of World Vision Ghana- Madam Mercy Nuleyan, who represented the National Director, the WASH Technical Specialist of World Vision Ghana-Mr. Yaw Attah Arhin, the Chief Executive Officer of Kings Hall Media Limited- Mr. Emmanuel Addai, the Head of Zoomlion Foundation- Mr Thomas Korley, Coordinator of School Health Education Programme- Ghana Education Service-Madam Theresah Mensah among other dignitaries. The Theme Presenter for the Policy Summit was Mr. Kofi Asare-Executive Director of Africa Education Watch and the programme was chaired by the Greater Accra Regional Director of Ghana Education Service, Hajia (Mrs.) Katumi Natogmah Attah.

Congratulations to the newly crowned Child Sanitation Diplomat, Artaldus Sung Kuuntanaa of Accra College of Education Demonstration School. Artadus won the 6th Edition of the School Sanitation Solutions Challenge on Monday, 22nd September, 2025. He will take over from F***j Timtoni Abdul Yazid as the Child Sanitation Diplomat from 1st October, 2025. The Special Guest was the Hon. Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

The Finalist of the 6th School Sanitation Solutions Challenge also paid the study visit to the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant(ACARP) at Adjen Kotoku, Accra. They were accompanied by organizers of the Triple S Challenge Mr. Yaw Attah Arhin, Mr. Thomas Korley and Mr. Frank Ofosu-Appiah of World Vision Ghana, Zoomlion Foundation and Kings Hall Media Limited respectively and Chaperones of the Contestants.
