Throwback: Health For The Streets II - Youth Empowerment Programme

A powerful throwback to Health For The Streets II - Youth Empowerment Programme, where we brought together health, opportunity, education, and empowerment to create meaningful impact in the lives of young people and underserved communities.

From health education and screening to skills development, partnerships, and opportunities for growth, the programme reminded us that investing in people is one of the greatest investments we can make in our future.

This is more than a throwback - it is a reflection of what is possible when organisations, institutions, development partners, and investors come together with a shared vision for sustainable social impact.

We are grateful to every partner, volunteer, supporter, and stakeholder who contributed to making H4DS II a success.

The journey continues. The impact must grow. Together, we can build healthier, empowered and more resilient communities.

A look back at moments that inspire us to do even more.

Celebrating Partnership, Advancing Impact - Gratitude to the National Identification Authority (NIA)

Public Health Alliance International Ghana (PHAIG) extends our sincere appreciation to the National Identification Authority (NIA) for their invaluable support in getting a great number of our participants registered and delivering National ID cards to them on same day during the just-concluded Health for the Streets (H4DS||) – Youth Empowerment Programme.

Your commitment to supporting these young people and contributing to inclusive access to essential national identification services made a meaningful difference in the lives of participants. Together, we are creating opportunities, empowering communities, and building a healthier and more inclusive Ghana.

Thank you, NIA, for being a valued partner in this journey. We look forward to achieving even greater impact together.

Ghana Puts Its Public Health Emergency Response System to the Test!

The Ghana Health Service, through the National Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC), has held COORDEX I, a national simulation exercise aimed at testing Ghana’s coordination and operational response to public health emergencies.

The exercise brought together about 30 institutions from the health and non-health sectors, creating an important platform to strengthen collaboration, preparedness, coordination, and emergency response.

A prepared nation is a resilient nation. Together, we can build stronger systems to protect the health and wellbeing of all Ghanaians.

Today, we celebrate young people all around the world.

On this International Youth Day, Public Health Alliance International Ghana (PHAIG) joins the global call to invest in youth, prioritize mental health, and create opportunities that empower the next generation.

This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” reminds us that regardless of where young people come from, they share the same hopes for decent work, inclusion, well-being, and a brighter future.

Together, let’s champion youth development, protect mental health, and build healthier, stronger communities. Invest in youth today, transform tomorrow.
