We are pleased to have Gilles Ametepe speaking at our upcoming webinar on Digital Natives and Entrepreneurship: Perspectives from the US, UK and Africa. Gilles is a Ghanaian policy-focused ecosystem leader. He currently leads the Innovation Projects and French Communications desks at Djembe Consultants and is an advocate of storytelling as a tool to promote Africa's innovation ecosystem. Gilles is co-founder of Ghana for Startups where he oversees the policy positioning, international partnership-building and research efforts of the GFS, leading on its quest to position Ghana as Africa's leading startup-nation.
In 2021, Gilles became the first African to be elected to the Board of Brussels-based startup policy network, Allied For Startups. He is known for "Ghana for startups: pivoting from a tourist attraction to a tech nation", considered as an ecosystem policy manifesto. He advises entrepreneurs and has mentored startups through MEST Africa, Ghana Tech Lab, Unleash and the UNICEF Ghana Lab among others.
