Accra Shines Brightly in Orange! 💡🧡 Yesterday, Zonta Clubs across Ghana, led by Zonta Club of Accra Jubilee, officially launched the 16 Days of Activism by beautifully lighting up the National Theatre. The evening was marked by unity and powerful commitment, featuring a compelling address from our Zonta District 18 Governor. We were honored by the attendance and partnership of key development allies, including UN Women and CEGENSA. Together, we say NO to Gender-Based Violence.

Yesterday, 8th November 2025, we gathered with immense pride to celebrate Zonta Day and honor the incredible legacy of Zonta International in Ghana. The Accra Jubilee Club was thrilled to join fellow Zonta Clubs across the nation for a beautiful luncheon, commemorating over five decades of unwavering dedication to empowering women and girls.
From the early days of advocacy to the powerful projects we run today, we celebrate every Zontian, every milestone, and every life changed. This wasn’t just a celebration; it was a recommitment to the future of gender equality in Ghana.

🌟 Zonta Spotlight: The Courage of Gisèle Pelicot 🌟

Gisèle Pelicot’s story is one of unimaginable pain, resilience, and bravery. For nearly a decade, she endured a harrowing ordeal, unknowingly drugged and subjected to abuse orchestrated by her husband. Despite the trauma, Gisèle found the strength to speak out, exposing a network of abuse and bringing her perpetrators to justice.

In December 2024, her courage led to the conviction of her husband and several others, marking a monumental step in the fight against gender-based violence. Her story shines a light on the importance of supporting survivors, amplifying their voices, and ensuring justice is served.

Zonta Accra Jubilee stands in solidarity with Gisèle and all survivors of violence. Let her bravery inspire us to continue the fight for a world where no woman has to endure such pain. 💛
