🎬 PERIOD in schools made a stop at Tema Happy Home School Complex 💙🩸

We had the privilege of screening PERIOD at Tema Happy Home School Complex, where students gathered to watch a story that shines a light on the realities of menstruation, period poverty, and the importance of dignity for every girl.

Beyond the film, we engaged the students in an open and interactive discussion on menstrual hygiene, breaking myths, answering their questions, and creating a safe space for learning. We also conducted a practical demonstration on how to properly wear and fix a sanitary pad, equipping the girls with essential knowledge while encouraging the boys to become informed allies in ending menstrual stigma.

The smiles, curiosity, and confidence we witnessed reminded us why these conversations matter. Together, we are raising a generation that understands menstruation is natural and not something to be ashamed of.

A heartfelt thank you to our funding partners, Repra Health Action and Nzingha Maternal Health, and to our sponsor, The Period Abundance Foundation by The Period Company (producers of the period underwear), for making this impactful outreach possible. Your support is helping us educate, empower, and ensure that no child is left behind because of their period.
