The first phase of My Body Is My Body (MBIMB) Programme for both Basic 5 and 6 pupils has been successfully completed. Our aim was to hold the programme for the entire school at Tungteiya M/A Primary School in Tamale, in the coming weeks. However, due to logistical challenges, we have decided to conduct the programme in phases so that all students can benefit from it.

It is exciting to note that the remaining students are eagerly looking forward to learning and having fun at the same time.

The week was truly great and we at Tolerantia Reach are delighted to have made a positive impact on the students.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world and supporting underserved communities? Tolerantia Reach, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting quality education, reduced inequality, tolerance and inclusivity, is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team.

Location: Remote
Deadline: Sunday, April 30, 2023

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who support our mission. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on society. If you have excellent communication and organizational skills, experience in volunteer management, and a desire to contribute to a meaningful cause, we would love to hear from you. Join our team at Tolerantia Reach and help us create a more tolerant and inclusive world.

Qualifications
Qualified candidate will report to the Director of Volunteer Services and work closely with our development committee. The selected candidate should expect to spend at least 15 hours/month of their time recruiting, training and managing volunteers who support our mission.

Recently, a team of passionate and driven individuals came together to visit Kalpohin SDA Junior High School in , Ghana.

The team, consisting of Terence A. Asitibasi (Lead) and Prosper Kpiebaya (Board member) from Tolerantia Reach, as well as Ruhiya Abubakari (Journalist) from NTV, led by Dorcas Kongwie, and Nana Boateng Yamoah from Lead For Ghana, came to speak to the students about "Career Development And The Impact Of Taking Mentors."

The event was a tremendous success, with the team delivering a thought-provoking and engaging presentation that left a lasting impression on the students. The team members shared their own experiences and journeys, discussing the importance of setting goals, staying motivated, and seeking guidance from mentors.

Terence and Prosper spoke about the power of having a growth mindset and taking the initiative to seek out opportunities to develop one's skills and knowledge. They emphasized the importance of taking calculated risks and not being afraid to fail, as failure often provides valuable lessons that can help us grow and succeed in the future.

Ruhiya, Dorcas, and Nana discussed the critical role that mentors can play in career development. They encouraged the students to seek out mentors who can provide guidance, support, and valuable insights into their chosen fields. The team members shared personal stories of how their mentors had helped them navigate challenges and make informed decisions throughout their careers.

The students (200+) were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the presentation, asking insightful questions and sharing their own experiences and aspirations. The event was a testament to the power of mentorship and the importance of fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Informal education, on the other hand, can take place anywhere, such as at home, in the community, or through extracurricular activities.

The benefits of education for children are numerous. It helps to improve their cognitive abilities, such as their ability to think critically and solve problems. It also enhances their social and emotional development, as they learn to interact with others and develop positive relationships.

Furthermore, education can provide children with a sense of purpose and direction, and can help to instill values such as responsibility, respect, and integrity.

In addition to traditional educational methods, technology has provided new ways for children to learn and grow. Through the use of online resources, apps, and educational games, children can explore new subjects, develop new skills, and learn at their own pace.

According to UNESCO, 258 million children and youth still do not attend school; 617 million children and adolescents cannot read and do basic maths, less than 40% of girls in sub-Saharan Africa complete lower secondary school...Their right to education is being violated and it is unacceptable.

Challenges like this can be daunting & significantly greater for those in rural communities (Ghana).

Our work at Tolerantia Reach encompasses quality educational development for all minors (underprivileged) that enables them to live up to their abilities everyday.

You can trust us when we say that your donations will have a direct impact on these young people who have no access to opportunities like this. Thereby, transforming the future requires us to realize everyone's fundamental right to education and build a more sustainable, inclusive and peaceful future.

Goal:
To identify and support 500 pupils in local communities (Tamale, Ghana) with quality and cost-effective materials that help prepare them to begin classes with the readiness of skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
