*LARA Foundation, a non-profit charity organization founded in loving memory of the people’s mother, Businesswoman and philanthropist Hajia Laila Abubakar Ali, is set to launch.*
Hajia Laila, who was born on 22nd February, 1962 departed to her maker earlier this year 25th March 2020 at the age of 58. The mission
of the LARA Foundation is to spread love and philanthropy towards particularly, underprivileged people including the hungry, street children, orphans, the poor, and needy. The LARA Foundation is seeking to use the human face values of its patriot, Hajia Laila Abubakar Ali to dedicate itself to the social cause of touching and empowering lives. The line of activities of LARA foundation will also be providing food, clothing and shelter, to the needy. This is what Hajia Abubakar Ali enjoyed and loved doing most when she was alive. According to the founders, the foundation has been established on the principles and values of Hajia Laila Abubakar stood for. She was an assertive, selfless, and a very kind woman who spreads love wherever she finds herself. She extended empathy and sympathy to all those who needed help and also disliked or hated to see people or any soul saddened and suffering. The founders of LARA Foundation include Brother and niece to the deceased, Habib Abubakar Ali, CEO of TwistKlodin and Laila Mijimmah Mohammed respectively. Touching on how the foundation will be funded, the CEO of TwistKlodin, a fashion powerhouse based in Accra, revealed that he is setting aside percentage of sales from collections sold from his fashion design with the niece who would also support in her own way.
