Social media is a powerful tool, and like every powerful tool, its impact depends on how it is used.
At the Kofi A. Tawiah Foundation., we continue to emphasise that good character must extend beyond the classroom and into the digital space. Today’s youth are highly connected, yet growing concerns such as cyberbullying, online insults, fake lifestyles, and disrespectful communication highlight an urgent need for strong digital character.
Good character is not only demonstrated in person, but it must also be reflected online. Before you post, comment, or share, pause and reflect: Is it respectful? Is it truthful? Is it helpful?
Let us promote positive digital citizenship by using social media to inspire, educate, and uplift others, but not to harm or diminish them. Remember, your words online can either build confidence or break someone’s spirit.
Choose kindness. Choose responsibility. Choose good character, even when you are online. How do you intentionally demonstrate good character through your social media interactions? Share with us in the comments.

Did you know that self-discipline can be more powerful than intelligence when it comes to academic success?
In reality, the most successful students are not always the smartest, but rather, they are the most consistent. This is because discipline keeps you going when motivation fades.
Remember that character and competence build consistency,
while consistency over time builds excellence.
In your experience, what do you think has a greater impact on academic success, being smart or being disciplined? Share your thoughts!

The Kofi A. Tawiah Good Citizenship Challenge is an interesting initiative that encourages students to embody the values of good citizenship, community service, and leadership. The Good Citizenship Challenge provides students with a unique opportunity to move beyond their classrooms and apply essential values such as responsibility, compassion, leadership, and service in real community settings.
Through their projects, students learn the importance of giving back to their communities while developing important values and life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, compassion, critical thinking, etc.
We encourage all schools participating in this year's Kofi A. Tawiah Good Citizenship Challenge to remain committed, execute their projects with excellence, and ensure that all final essays are submitted on time. [by 30th June, 2026].
We look forward to all the impactful initiatives, powerful reflections, and outstanding submissions that showcase the true spirit of good citizenship.

A new school term is here, and the Kofi A. Tawiah Foundation is excited to begin visits to our partner schools once again! These school visits remain an important part of our commitment to strengthening effective character education and nurturing positive values among young learners.
During these visits, the foundation engages with school management, facilitators, and students on various aspects of the character education programme.
The visits also serve as an opportunity to share feedback, celebrate progress, and explore practical solutions to school-based challenges together.
We look forward to visiting all our partner schools during the term, and we cannot wait to witness the incredible work being done to nurture positive values among the learners.
