FROM RECOGNITION TO ACTION: WHAT COMES NEXT?

The global acknowledgment of the transatlantic slave trade as a crime against humanity is a powerful step—but recognition alone is not enough.

The real question is: How do reparations reach the people they were meant for?

At The African Diaspora Group (ADG), we believe reparations must be structured, intentional, and directly impactful—not lost in systems that never reach the historic African diaspora.

Our position: Reparations must be program-driven, not symbolic.

That means:

🌍 Diaspora-centered programs that support relocation, reintegration, and land access in Africa

🏡 Housing, business, and investment initiatives that create long-term economic stability

📚 Cultural restoration & education programs that rebuild identity and connection

🧭 Clear pathways to citizenship and belonging for descendants returning home

🤝 Direct access—not gatekept systems—ensuring benefits reach the diaspora community itself

Reparations should not sit in policy—they should be felt in people’s lives.

💬 Let’s talk:
What would meaningful reparations look like to you?
How can we ensure they directly benefit the historic diaspora—not institutions?

Restoration is at the heart of everything we do.

For the African diaspora, restoration goes beyond returning to a place — it is the process of reclaiming what was interrupted. Identity. Culture. Language. Connection.

It is remembering who we were before displacement reshaped our story.

It is rebuilding a sense of belonging rooted in truth, not separation.

It is healing generational gaps by reconnecting to land, people, and purpose.

At ADG, restoration is lived through:
🤎 cultural immersion and heritage experiences
🤎 streamlined residency & citizenship pathways
🤎 roots / lineage research & restoration
🤎 guided support for long-term return and & reintegration

This work is about more than movement — it is about coming back into alignment with who we are.

Restoration is not a moment.
It is a journey back to self. 🌍

Welcome to February!

This month, we honor the legacy, brilliance, resistance, and vision of African people across the world.

At The African Diaspora Group, February is a time of remembrance and reconnection — to our ancestors, our movements, and the Pan-African leaders who laid the foundation for where we stand today.

This is more than history.
It’s inheritance.

Join us as we reflect, learn, and celebrate together. ✊🏾
