Sava Foundation Celebrates 2 Years of Impact – December 3, 2024

On December 3, 2024, Sava Foundation marked two years of impacting lives and spreading hope. From feeding the homeless to supporting inmates, visiting psychiatric hospitals, and providing relief to communities, every step has been driven by compassion and the desire to make a difference.

These past two years have been a journey of faith, sacrifice, and love. Each project has been a testament to what we can achieve when hearts come together — whether it was feeding 500 people on the streets of Accra, bringing comfort to the children at the psychiatric hospital, or standing with the women at Nsawam Female Prisons.

However, our mission is far from over. As part of this anniversary, we planned to launch "Sava Fest" on December 26, 2024 — a community celebration of love, health, and hope, featuring free health screenings, food, sports, music, and activities to uplift the community. Sadly, due to a lack of funding, we were unable to make it happen this year.

But we believe in the power of community and we’re not giving up! This anniversary is not just a moment of reflection but a call to action.

Sava Foundation’s Visit to Nsawam Female Prisons – 31st May 2024

On May 31, 2024, Sava Foundation had the privilege of visiting the Nsawam Female Prisons in the Eastern Region of Ghana. This special outreach was not only about sharing love and support with the inmates but also marked the birthday of our Founder and CEO — a day dedicated to giving back.

We donated essential items, including 3 wall fans, Bibles, drinks, and water, while spending time with the inmates to offer words of encouragement and prayers. The response was heartwarming — the inmates and staff welcomed us with gratitude and later reached out to express their appreciation.

The journey wasn’t without challenges. Funding remains a major hurdle in our mission, and transporting the items from Accra to Nsawam was tough due to poor road conditions. Despite this, we pushed forward, determined to bring light and hope to those behind bars.

One story that touched our hearts deeply was meeting a young mother who had given birth while serving her sentence — a powerful reminder of the struggles many endure behind those walls.

We’re grateful to everyone who made this outreach possible — the kind driver who brought us safely, the prison officer who facilitated our visit, and the team that stood with us through it all.

Feeding the Streets of Kasoa – 23rd December 2023

Christmas is a season of love and giving, and on December 23rd, 2023, Sava Foundation had the honor of celebrating it with those on the streets of Kasoa. Our mission was simple — to spread joy and share a warm meal with those who might not have had much to celebrate during the festive season.

We walked through the marketplace, the station, and even the Muslim community behind the station, distributing over 100 food packs. But it wasn’t just about giving food; we took time to interact with the people, exchanging smiles, stories, and prayers. The joy on their faces was unforgettable, and many released heartfelt blessings on us in return.

This project almost didn’t happen. Funding was a major challenge, and at one point, I considered postponing it. But once again, the right people showed up. From the individuals who contributed to the media guy who captured these precious moments, and the incredible chef who prepared the meals and helped us package everything — each person played a role in making this possible.

A few moments stood out to me. I remember a young boy who grabbed his food and ran off with such excitement that it brought tears to my eyes. Then there was an elderly woman who wasn’t only grateful for the food but was touched by the very bag we used to carry the packs. Small moments like these remind me of why Sava Foundation exists — to make a difference, one life at a time.

Bringing Hope to Accra Psychiatric Hospital – 5th August 2023

On the 5th of August, 2023, Sava Foundation had the honor of visiting the Children’s Ward at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. Our mission was simple but heartfelt — to provide care, support, and encouragement to both the patients and the incredible staff who dedicate their lives to caring for them.

We came bearing gifts of water, toiletries, clothing, and our very own Sava Solutions liquid soap, among other essentials. But beyond the donations, we spent time interacting with the staff, offering words of encouragement, and sharing moments of prayer. It was a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark hope.

The staff was deeply moved by the visit, grateful to be seen, appreciated, and cared for. Organizing the project wasn’t without its challenges — self-funding these initiatives is never easy — but once again, kind-hearted people came through to help make this possible. We were also thankful for the hospital’s openness and the ease with which we gained permission to visit.

Every encounter reaffirmed our belief that love and compassion have the power to heal. This experience only strengthened our commitment to serving communities and touching lives, one project at a time.

Sava Foundation’s Second Outreach: Giving Hope on the Streets of Accra

On December 30th, 2022, Sava Foundation embarked on its second outreach project, this time focusing on supporting over 50 individuals with disabilities living on the streets of Accra. From Accra Central to Airport, our team distributed food, snacks, and balloons, spreading kindness and uplifting spirits along the way.

More than just providing meals, we had heartfelt conversations with many individuals. Some expressed a strong desire to pursue meaningful work but felt limited due to societal judgment and financial struggles. One memorable encounter was with a young man near the National Theatre who had brilliant ideas as a computer developer but lacked the support to chase his dreams. Another unforgettable moment was at 37 Station, where a man’s heartfelt prayer for our team deeply moved us.

As always, this initiative was made possible by the generosity and love of our volunteers and friends, who showed up once again to make this mission a reality.

Sava Foundation Feeds 500 on the Streets of Accra

On December 3rd, 2022, Sava Foundation embarked on its first outreach project — a mission to feed 500 homeless individuals across Accra. The team covered key locations, starting from Lapaz to Accra Mall, through Airport and Osu, and ending at Accra Tema Station.

With the support of dedicated volunteers and donors, we distributed 500 food packs, along with drinks and water, bringing nourishment and hope to many in need. One particularly touching moment was when a young child, after receiving a meal, eagerly guided our team to his family to ensure they also received food. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — to serve, uplift, and spread compassion.

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, who helped with packaging and transportation, and everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality.
