Motherhood is love, strength, sacrifice, resilience, and courage all wrapped into one.

Today we celebrate women who continue to pour into others, often while carrying so much themselves.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mother doing her best even on the hard days.

On Valentine’s Day, we visited the Nsawam Female Prison to donate essential items and share a time of worship and prayer with the inmates.

It was a deeply humbling and rewarding experience. A time to give back is always time well spent.

The women in these prisons are daughters, mothers, and sisters. They deserve dignity, compassion, and the reminder that they are not forgotten.

There is always hope for redemption.
Thank you to Softcare Ghana and everyone who contributed to making this possible. May God bless you abundantly.

Valentine’s Day, many of us will celebrate love with flowers, gifts, and sweet words.

But behind prison walls, there are mothers and sisters who may not receive a single call, a single hug, or a single reminder that they are still loved.

This year, on 14th February 2026, The Woman Called She returns with the Love Project, a donation outreach to the Nsawam Female Prison.

Join us as we carry love beyond the walls.
Let’s remind them that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

At the invitation of the PTA of GraceDew International School, The Woman Called She facilitated a parent engagement on “Good Parenting in a Connected World: Balancing Love, Limits, and Technology.”

The digital world is shaping our children faster than many families are prepared for. Children are growing up in a digital world, constantly connected and exposed to risks that many parents did not encounter themselves. These conversations are no longer optional; they are urgent.

This engagement reaffirmed a critical truth: online safety starts at home. Parents must be equipped not just to monitor, but to guide, protect, and advocate for their children in digital spaces.

We are grateful to the management and PTA of GraceDew International School for their openness, leadership, and commitment to prioritising the safety and well-being of their students.🙏

The Woman Called She remains committed to working with PTAs, schools, faith-based institutions, and community organisations to strengthen parental capacity and protect children, online and offline.

As part of our 5th Anniversary outreach, The Woman Called She visited Pig Farm Basic School to engage students in honest conversations around:

• Sexting
• Cyberbullying
• Body shaming
• Online safety and self-worth

These discussions are crucial in helping young girls navigate the digital world safely and confidently. 💻✨

As part of our campaign, we also distributed sanitary pads to the girls, because their offline dignity matters just as much as their online safety. 🩸💜

Empowerment is holistic. Protection is intentional.
And every girl deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.

Australia is set to ban the use of social media for children under 16 , one of the most important child-protection laws of this century.

Australia has taken the lead, and it is my hope that other countries will follow.

At The Woman Called She, through our 'Think Before You Click' campaign, we have taken the message of digital safety and the dangers of early social media exposure to over 7,000 teenage girls across Ghana.

Our advocacy has long called for policies just like this; policies that prioritise children’s mental health and online safety.

As Jonathan Haidt notes in The Anxious Generation (2024),

“The arrival of the phone based childhood coincided with the collapse of adolescent mental health, particularly for girls, who experienced sharp rises in anxiety, depression, and self-harm.”

This is the kind of data we cannot ignore.
-Children deserve protection.
-Girls deserve safety.
- Policymakers must act.

Teenage girls face greater pressure and stigma in digital intimacy.

Inappropriate images are often demanded from them whilst boys are less pressured.
