Let’s be honest

We still take plastic bags.
We still litter sometimes.
We still ignore small actions that matter.

But change doesn’t start with perfection it starts with awareness.

Today, choose to do just one thing better.

The health of our planet depends on processes you don’t always see but we can’t afford to ignore them.

Earth Hour is more than switching off lights.

It is a global reminder that small actions can protect our environment from saving energy to safeguarding our forests and rivers.

In Ghana, environmental challenges like pollution and illegal mining continue to affect our water bodies and communities. Change starts with awareness and everyday action.

Join us this Earth Hour. Switch off. Reflect. Act.

World Water Day 2026 is observed under the theme “Water and Gender,” with the global message: “Where water flows, equality grows.”
This theme highlights the critical link between water access, gender equality and sustainable development emphasizing that equitable water systems empower communities and strengthen resilience.
At Conservation Alliance International, we recognize that water security is central to environmental sustainability. Our work supports integrated conservation approaches that protect water resources, strengthen ecosystems and promote community well-being.

Because when water is equitable, development becomes sustainable.

The 2026 International Day of Forests theme, “Forests and Economies,” reminds us that forests are not only ecological systems, but also drivers of sustainable livelihoods and economic resilience.
Forests support agriculture, provide renewable resources, regulate water systems and sustain millions of livelihoods globally.
At Conservation Alliance International, we align with this vision by promoting sustainable forest conservation practices, community engagement and environmental stewardship that protect forests while supporting responsible development.

Protecting forests is investing in both nature and people.

WORLD FROG DAY – 20 MARCH 2026

On World Frog Day, we highlight the importance of amphibians as vital indicators of ecosystem health and biodiversity stability.

While there is no fixed global theme for this observance, the message remains clear: protecting amphibians means protecting entire ecosystems.

At Conservation Alliance International, our conservation approach reinforces ecosystem protection through biodiversity conservation, habitat restoration and environmental awareness programmes that strengthen ecological resilience.

When frogs thrive, ecosystems are balanced and when ecosystems are balanced, life is sustained.

On Global Recycling Day 2026, we recognize that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility.

This year’s theme, “Recycling Heroes,” reminds us that each of us has a role to play.
By choosing to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, individuals and communities become part of the solution — helping to minimize waste, conserve resources and protect the environment we all depend on.
Across our communities, these everyday actions may seem small, but together, they create meaningful impact.

At Conservation Alliance International, we continue to support and promote responsible waste practices that contribute to a more sustainable future.

Because real change happens when ordinary people take responsibility.

Today, on the International Day of Action for Rivers, we are reminded that rivers are more than flowing water — they are lifelines for communities, ecosystems and future generations.

Across Ghana, many of our once-clear rivers now run brown and polluted, largely due to illegal mining activities known as galamsey. These waters once sustained farmers, provided safe drinking water, supported fisheries, and nurtured biodiversity. Today, many communities watch helplessly as these lifelines slowly disappear.

Protecting rivers is not only an environmental responsibility — it is a commitment to protecting people, livelihoods and the future of our country.

At Conservation Alliance International, we believe that restoring and safeguarding our water bodies requires collective action, stronger accountability and a shared respect for nature.

Our rivers deserve better.
Our communities deserve clean water.
Our future depends on it.

International Women’s Day 2026 |

At Conservation Alliance International, we celebrate the women who cultivate not only the land but also the future of our communities.

Across farms, forests, and rural landscapes, women farmers play a vital role in food security, environmental stewardship and sustainable livelihoods. Their resilience, knowledge, and dedication nourish families, strengthen local economies and protect our natural ecosystems.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give To Gain,” reminds us that when we invest in women through access to resources, knowledge, land rights and leadership opportunities we all benefit. Stronger women mean stronger communities and a healthier planet.

Today, we honor the women who grow, nurture and sustain life from the soil upward.

When we support women in agriculture, we cultivate a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
