Through collective action and community determination, Hidaya Karimu and the households in her community came together to build their own biodigester latrines—creating cleaner surroundings, healthier families, and a future rooted in dignity, pride, and self-reliance.

A community where children had to learn under trees because the nearest school was kilometers away is now a powerful example of community ownership and sustainable impact.

Through listening, collaboration, and community-led action, Musfiratu and the community turned a challenge into an opportunity.

Today, they have a permanent 3-unit classroom block built through collective effort, improving access to for children in the community.

Beyond infrastructure, the community has also established a sheep farming project designed to generate income, strengthen livelihoods, and sustain future development initiatives.

This week in Ghana, Volunteer Liaisons from across the CorpsAfrica family came together for a Training of Trainers—bringing with them a wealth of experience, lessons learned, and an unwavering commitment to service.

They are the listeners, mentors, problem-solvers, encouragers, and connectors. They support Volunteers through challenges, celebrate their victories, and help ensure that communities continue to lead the change they want to see.
