We promote and protect the rights of marginalized children and youth. Youth Assistance, Innovation and Development Initiative Ghana (Youth AID Initiative Ghana ) is a non-religious, non-partisan, non-sectarian and a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working towards the smooth transition of children from childhood to youth and the socio-economic empowerment of the youth through Advocac
y, Communication and Social Mobilization ( ACSM), psychosocial and educational support, research and networking. Youth AID strives to create a future where the youth are able to facilitate their own development by leveraging on available community resources. Youth AID works in program areas of youth economic empowerment, health and education. We undertake complementary education and scholarship programmes for vulnerable school children and the youth, promote social and entrepreneurship skills development for the youth and undertake substance abuse prevention and SRHR education including HIV among the youth. Youth AID encourages and strengthens collective social and economic initiatives developed by youth themselves and works hard to remove obstacles to youth empowerment so that they have sustainable livelihoods and successful living standards. Youth AID was founded in October, 2010 by two Ghanaian youth activist after realizing the predicaments of rural and urban youth based on the outcome of their research papers. The organization is registered with the Registrar General’s Department, Social Welfare and the Nsawam-Adoaogyiri Municipal Assembly.
