The Alexander Kartveli Association is a proud supporter of the 2025 Georgian Team to the First Global Challenge held this year in Panama City, Panama October 28 to November 1st.

FIRST Global 's MISSION is to inspire leadership and innovation in youth from all nations by empowering them through education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — also known as STEM.

First Global is a robotics challenge, world renowned and attended by teams from over 130 countries. The AKA provided funding for this year's students to attend.

And this year Georgia WON the Silver Medal! Here at AKA we are proud that we were part of this dream and Georgia's recognition in the world STEM community. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Many thanks to Josh Stoff of the Cradle of Aviation Museum for hosting us as we make a documentary film about Kartveli's seminal airplane designs and contributions while at Republic Air! We also want to thank the Republic Airport Museum that has rare archival information on all of Republic's design and contributions including the space shuttle, the A-10 , the F84 and the P-47 all of which Kartveli directed as head of design. More to come on the documentary!
