ulation by means of coordination, monitoring and implementation of Landmine/UXOs Survey, Mine Awareness, Victim Assistance and other Mine Action on the whole territory of Georgia. Goal:

Peoples’ security in Georgia

Tasks:

Monitoring of the antipersonnel mines and explosives on the territory of Georgia; creation of the correspondent database along with collection of video and photo materials;

Drawing up of a situation map, indication of the dangerous zones and circulation of this information; information campaign within the population of Georgia about the possible mine-related risk and danger and about the relevant first aid/safety measures;

Assistance to the humanitarian mine clearance in Georgia;

Organization of the mine awareness programs for the population of the country with the special accent on the residents of the conflict and border zones, military bases nearby territory, IDPs, children and military people;

Complete registration of the antipersonnel mines’ and explosives’ victims and survivors by means of the special questionnaire; revelation of their capacity for work and other relevant facts;

Unification of the governmental, nongovernmental and international organizations around the issue of banning anti-personnel mines; popularization of the movement against inhuman weapons. Since 1999 ICBL Georgian Committee is member of Landmine Monitor, a unique and unprecedented civil society based reporting network, which systematically monitor and document nations' compliance with the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty and the humanitarian response to the global landmine crisis. ICBL GC has prepared LM reports for Georgia in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. In 2004 ICBL GC became the Advisory Board member of International Campaign to Ban Landmines
