Representatives of partner institutions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Ukraine came together online to review the newly developed CAF curriculum and training materials.vThe session built on the CAF Trainers Programme held in Maastricht in March and on the ongoing regional cooperation on quality management since 2023.

A key outcome was a shared understanding of how the new materials can be used in practice. Participants discussed how findings from CAF self-assessments can be translated into clear priorities, realistic action plans and concrete follow-up steps.

This is important because CAF is not only an assessment tool. It helps public institutions identify what needs to improve, involve staff in the process, assign clear responsibilities and monitor progress over time. In the longer term, this can support stronger institutional performance, better coordination and higher-quality public services.

The CAF curriculum was developed by the European CAF Resource Centre at EIPA, in cooperation with the OECDSIGMA Programme, within the GIZ Regional Project Public Administration Reform in the Eastern Partnership Countries III funded by BMZ

Women in tech communities in Moldova and Georgia came together for an online exchange supported by the GIZ Eastern Partnership Regional Project for Public Administration Reform, financed by BMZ. 💻🌍

The discussion created space to share experiences, speak openly about common challenges and explore how women’s participation in the tech sector can be further strengthened not only as participants, but also as leaders, founders and changemakers. 🚀

Speakers from Tech Women Moldova and BTU • ბიზნესისა და ტექნოლოგიების უნივერსიტეტი u shared practical examples of how communities, education and cooperation can support more women in technology. 🤝

One important outcome was the connection between initiatives from different countries, opening the door for future collaboration, peer learning and joint activities across the region. ✨

We are pleased to continue supporting this exchange and to contribute to stronger, more connected women-led tech communities in the Eastern Partnership. 🌐

With support from the German Government, GIZ and the German Bundestag work closely together to support the parliaments of Eastern Partnership countries in advancing reforms that promote more evidence-based legislation and place citizen engagement at the heart of parliamentary work.

As part of this commitment, GIZ and the Bundestag jointly organised a study visit to Berlin for parliamentary administration representatives from Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia to exchange experiences and learn from German parliamentary practices. A highlight of the visit was the meeting with Paul Göttke, Secretary General of the German Bundestag.

Have you ever thought about the Future of Digital Governance? What are the possible future scenarios? What is the role of civil society, think tanks and expert community in shaping the future of digital governance?

These were the guiding topics for our regional meet-up with representatives from civil society, public administrations and other partner institutions from Armenia, Serbia, Kirgizstan and Germany, discussing the insights from Eastern Partnership, Western Balkans, Central Asia and EU, the existing trends, the opportunities on co-creation and cooperation in this very important topic using the foresight approach.

We are looking forward to follow-ups on this wonderful initiative "Digital Democracy for ALL" that has been initiated by GIZ since last year and implemented in close cooperation with Regional Projects on “Public Administration Reform in the Eastern Partnership Countries III” and “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries” financed by BMZ

this forum will not be "one-shot" discourse and will lead to a number of bilateral and multilateral partnerships and cooperation on this.

This cooperation has been organized in the framework of Regional Project “Public Administration Reform in the Eastern Partnership Countries III” implemented by GIZ in commission of Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
