GSPSA - Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals, ნუცუბიძის მე-2 მ/რ. 3ა, Tbilisi (2026)

The non-government not-for-profit union (association) “Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals” – GSPSA was founded in 2006. The union operates according to Georgian legislation and charter registered by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia by decision # 851 dated July 18, 2006. The idea of the foundation of this organization had existed long before the actual incorporation. The main driving ideas behind the creation of the Society are the preservation and establishment of the mechanisms of animal protection, the establishment of harmonic relationship between humans and animals, the study and adoption of international standards and experience, and changing of the mentality of the society in relation to animal welfare matters in Georgia and the Caucasus region. Three years prior to the incorporation, a shelter for stray dogs and puppies was set with the help and participation of the Society's current members. Since then the shelter has been a home for over 5,000 animals till their safe release to kind and caring people. The Society has also from the very beginning established links with the various international animal welfare organizations. The Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals is ready and willing to cooperate with all international organizations, funds, and individuals, interested in solving the issues concerning animal welfare in Georgia and the Caucasus.

🎉🐾 GSPSA is 20 years old!

Exactly 20 years have passed since the "Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals" took its first steps. It has been two decades of tireless work, countless saved lives, dedication, and the hope we have given to homeless animals.

Throughout these years, we have created numerous important projects together, including the "Richi" Animal Village, fought for animal rights, and changed the fate of thousands of four-legged friends.

❤️ This journey would have been impossible without you! A huge thank you to each and every one of you - our donors, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who has stood by the organization's side throughout these 20 years.

Many more plans and shared victories await us! 🐾✨
