he main concern of Afghan citizens there is other side to life in the country. When I was living in India, I met guys from Kabul and what I heard from them was quite impressive. For the outside world Afghanistan is always associated with military actions and tense political climate (which is not far from truth) but that is not the only thing that is going on in the country. For outside world it can be quite hard to look beyond reports on conflict which is understandable but does not allow us to see a bigger picture. I would like to go to Kabul and its surroundings photographing, taping, recording bits and peaces of civil life there, the life besides war and hardships. How is life in the war zone without the war zone. All the materials go to a blog that I will be running and updating live from Afghanistan. Since this project would take a month of my time during which I will not be working, I need your help to finance the plane ticket and living expenses in Afghanistan. I do believe this can turn out to be a beautiful project, helping civilians all over the world understand that war zone is not only about conflict, it is about lives of other people. Afghanistan is not one unit that can be generalized under the name of conflict zone, rather it is a country consisting of people who have to live under immense pressure. If you think like I do and would like to promote peace and unarmed conflict resolution solutions and increase the awareness about Afghan civil life around the world then you probably understand what the gain from this project would be.
