Ram Navami Celebrated for the Third Time in Tbilisi by NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future

Tbilisi, Georgia – April 6, 2025:
For the third consecutive year, the vibrant festival of Ram Navami was celebrated in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was organized by the NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (NGOCDPF), which has been actively promoting Indian culture and traditions in Georgia.

The celebration witnessed an impressive participation of Indian students studying in various Georgian universities, who came together to present soulful bhajans and energetic dance performances, bringing alive the spirit of Ram Navami thousands of miles away from India.

Adding to the significance of the event, officers from the Embassy of India in Georgia attended the celebration and appreciated the efforts of the Indian community and the NGO in keeping cultural values alive abroad. They highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the bonds between India and Georgia through cultural diplomacy.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizers emphasized how celebrating Indian festivals abroad not only provides a sense of belonging to Indians living overseas but also serves as a bridge between diverse cultures. Events like these create a shared space for joy, tradition, and unity, especially for those who miss the festive atmosphere of home.

The event concluded with a collective aarti and prasad distribution, leaving the attendees with hearts full of devotion and pride. NGOCDPF continues to be a strong force in promoting India’s rich cultural heritage across borders, fostering peace and harmony through shared traditions.

We are thrilled to have successfully organized the 8th tour of the Indo-Georgian Cultural Festival, this time in the beautiful state of Goa! In association with Goa Kala Academy, Government of Goa, our NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future , celebrated World Theatre Day with an outstanding performance of Life of a Clown by თავისუფალი თეატრი Liberty Theatre , one of Georgia’s most renowned theatre groups.

Directed by the brilliant Avtandil Varsimashvili , the play featured exceptional performances by Goga barbakadze გოგა ბარბაქაძე , Jaba Kiladze , Giorgi Jiqia , and Giga Kakubava. The audience in Goa was mesmerized by the depth, humor, and artistry of this masterpiece.

A special thanks to Liberty Theatre for their incredible performance and to Goa Kala Academy for their invaluable support in making this event a grand success. We are also grateful to Doordarshan Goa, which covered the event with an insightful report, bringing the magic of Georgian theatre to a wider audience.

The Indo-Georgian Cultural Festival continues to bridge cultures through art, and we look forward to many more such collaborations!
