Countering gendered disinformation takes more than awareness.
It takes evidence, education, responsible media, strong civil society and public policies that recognise the real harm caused by online abuse and false narratives.
This was the focus of the final international G-LENS conference, โCitizen Engagement and Exchange of Good Practicesโ, held on Thursday 14 May 2026 in Warsaw.
Organised by Fundacja British Council in Poland, as part of the G-LENS project, the conference created space for partners from across Europe to share research, exchange good practice and develop recommendations for cross-sector action.
The programme included discussions on gender-equal digital futures, legal frameworks, media responsibility and policy recommendations for more inclusive and resilient societies.
