Internews Georgia

Internews Georgia Formed in 1997, Internews Georgia is a local non-profit non-governmental organization based in Georgia.

We believe that we can improve access to information for people by fostering independent media and promoting open communication policies in the public interest. All our activities serve media professionals as well as entire Georgian society so that they can actively participate in the political and social decision-making and affect positive change. Internews Georgia works in three major directions

:

1) Certified training programs

2) Video, audio, print and web-based production

3) Advocacy

We have raised 584,000.00 USD in 2009 out of which 12% was generated through entrepreneurial activities. Currently 22 full-time staff and numerous employees on contractual basis serve the mission of Internews Georgia.
