25 აპრილს „ევროპის უნივერსიტეტისა“ და „საქართველოს ინგლისური ენის მასწავლებელთა ასოციაციის“ (ETAG) ორგანიზებით, საქართველოში აშშ-ს საელჩოსა და საქართველოში ბრიტანეთის საბჭოსთან პარტნიორობით „ევროპის უნივერსიტეტში“ ჩატარდა კონფერენცია „ხელოვნური ინტელექტი (AI) და მისი პრაქტიკული გამოყენება TESOL-ის კონტექსტში”.

🇺🇸 კონფერენცია თანადაფინანსებულია აშშ-ის სახელმწიფო დეპარტამენტის ინგლისური ენის პროგრამის ფარგლებში, რეგიონული ინგლისური ენის ოფიცრის, ჯონ სილვერისა და საქართველოში აშშ-ს საელჩოს მხარდაჭერით.

🗣️გახსნის ცერემონიაზე დამსწრეებს მისასალმებელი სიტყვით მიმართეს: საქართველოში აშშ-ს ელჩის მოვალოების შემსრულებელმა, ალან ს. პერსელმა, ევროპის უნივერსიტეტის რექტორმა, ნინო ტალიაშვილმა და ბრიტანეთის საბჭოს საქართველოს დირექტორმა ზაზა ფურცელაძემ.

📌მისალმების შემდეგ კონფერენცია ინგლისური ენის სწავლების ტენდენციებზე მთავარი მოხსენებით დაიწყო. მოხსენება წარადგინა აიოვას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის პროფესორმა ჯონ მ. ლივაისმა.

📄პროგრამა მოიცავდა პარალელურ სესიებსა და სამ პარალელურ სემინარს/ვექშოფს, რომლებსაც ინგლისური ენის სწავლების ექსპერტები აშშ-ის საელჩოდან, ჯონ ჯორდანი და მაიკლ ვესიო, დოქტორ ლივაისთან ერთად უძღვებოდნენ.

ETAG Batumi representatives Neli Kukhaleishvili, Nino Kvantaliani and Nino Kukhaleishvili are participating in IATEFL International Conference 2026 in Brighton, UK—an inspiring opportunity to engage with the richness and diversity of the ELT community.

A true highlight of the event is meeting leading voices in modern language teaching methodology such as J. Scrivener, S. Thornbury, J. Willis, J. Keddie, M. Riley.

We are proud to share that 10 ETAG members are currently participating in the online TESOL-Ukraine and ETAG point project “Language Assessment Made Clear: From Intuition to Assessment Literacy”.

Through this course, the participants are strengthening their assessment literacy and gaining practical tools to better support students’ progress and success.

Nino Kvantaliani, Head of ETAG Batumi, participated in IATEFL 2026 Associates Day in Brighton, UK, on April 20. Her speech focused on strategies for the growth of a professional association. These were illustrated by insights from a project implemented jointly by ETAG and the Peace Corps Virtual Service Pilot, involving ETAG Telavi and Batumi branches

მიმდინარე წლის 19 აპრილს, ტარდება განათლების საერთაშორისო გამოფენა, თბილისში, სასტუმრო Courtyard Marriott Tbilisi -ში (თავისუფლების მოედანი #4).

გამოფენა ტარდება მათთვის, ვინც დაინტერესებულია საზღვარგარეთ სწავლით, სტიპენდიებისა და გრანტების მიღებით, საზაფხულო სკოლებით, მოკლევადიანი კურსებით და სხვადასხვა სასწავლო პროგრამით. გამოფენაში მონაწილეობას მიიღებენ მსოფლიოს სხვადასხვა ქვეყნის სასწავლებლები, ასევე საქართველოში არსებული საელჩოები და საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციები, რომლებიც გამოფენაზე მისულ დაინტერესებულ პირებს შეთავაზებენ სტიპენდიებს და სხვადასხვა სასწავლო პროგრამებს (როგორც გრძელვადიან, ასევე მოკლევადიანს).

აღნიშნული გამოფენის საშუალებით დაინტერესებულ პირებს ეძლევათ უნიკალური შესაძლებლობა, პირისპირ გაესაუბრონ საზღვარგარეთ არსებული უმაღლესი სასწავლებლების, საელჩოებისა და საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციების (DAAD, French Institute. Embassy of US, Embassy of UK და სხვა) წარმომადგენლებს და მიიღონ ამომწურავი ინფორმაცია მათთვის საინტერესო ყველა კითხვაზე.

🗣️The workshop will be led by Professor Dr. John Lewis from Iowa State University. The intensive program will cover TESOL methodology, the implementation of innovations in the teaching process, introduction to modern approaches, and consultations for PhD Students.

This dedicated online day focuses on rapid-fire insights and digital solutions designed to support teachers navigating complex educational environments. They seek contributors who can provide practical, efficient, and inspiring pedagogical tools that are rooted in reality yet focused on professional renewal.

Presentation Formats
Flash Presentation (15 minutes): A concise "plug-and-play" session centered on a single powerful pedagogical tip or classroom activity.

Just because you went to school
doesn’t mean you understand schools.

Attending school as a student
is not the same as working in one as a professional.

Schools today are complex, high-accountability workplaces.

The demands are high.
The scrutiny is constant.
The workload doesn’t stop at 3pm.

Teachers are balancing curriculum delivery, differentiated learning, behaviour support, wellbeing needs, compliance requirements, data collection, parent communication — often all before lunch.

They’re making hundreds of micro-decisions a day.
Holding space for young people’s emotions.
Carrying responsibility that extends far beyond content.

So when we tell teachers what they “should” be doing —
without understanding the context —
we miss the reality they’re navigating.

Instead of judging from the outside,
let’s listen from the inside.

Because when teachers feel supported, not criticised,
they thrive.

And when teachers thrive,
students do too.

Let’s choose partnership over opinion.
Let’s back the profession that backs our young people.
