⭐We are thrilled to announce that the call for the Delegates of Tbilisi City Session 2024 is open!

🌻We are calling for passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated young fellows who are eager to enroll in productive discussions and debates, get inspired and empowered.

🧡The session will take place from 22nd to 24th of June in Tbilisi. The main topic of discussion on the session will be the role of young people in the country concerning EU integration and development. The session will give young people a platform from which they can express their opinions and discuss revelant issues among their peers.
Get ready to embark on a remarkable journey in Tbilisi with us.

ევროპის ახალგაზრდული პარლამენტი - საქართველოს (European Youth Parliament (EYP) - Georgia) დამფუძნებლები, ეროვნული კომიტეტი, ყოფილი და მოქმედი წევრები ვეხმიანებით „უცხოური გავლენის გამჭვირვალობის შესახებ“ კანონპროექტის მოქმედებაში მიღებას.

ზემოთხსენებული კანონპროექტი აშკარა საფრთხეს უქმნის საქართველოს, მის მოქალაქეებსა და ევროპულ მომავალს, რაც ასევე კითხვის ნიშნის ქვეშ აყენებს ქვეყნის განვითარებასა და წინსვლას. ნუ დაუშვებთ, რომ საქართველო შემდეგი იყოს იმ ქვეყნების სიაში, რომლებიც უკანონოდ აცხადებენ ახალგაზრდების ევროპულ მისწრაფებებს. ვიმედოვნებთ, რომ ეს კანონპროექტი საკანონმდებლო ორგანოდან იქნება გაწვეული.

We, the founders, National Committee, alumni, and members of the European Youth Parliament - Georgia (EYP - Georgia) issue this statement in response to the adoption of the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence" in the Parliament of Georgia.

The aforementioned draft law poses a clear threat to Georgia, its citizens and its European future, which also calls into question the country's development and progress. Don't let Georgia be the next on the list of countries that outlaw the European aspirations of young people. We hope that this bill will be recalled from the legislature.

🔗Recently, the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence”, proposed by the ruling party, has been adopted in the legislature. This bill requires any organisation receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as a “foreign agent” and provides the Ministry of Justice with immense discretion of random checking and monitoring of the CSO activities as well as uncontrollable access to personal data upon request. Substantial fines will be imposed on the civil society organisations that fail or refuse to register as a "foreign agent" resulting in involuntary liquidations.

“My vision for the event revolves around its motto, “Shaping European Futures – Inspire, Engage, and Integrate” fostering growth, collaboration, and empowerment in every aspect.
Youth engagement lies at the very core of EYP, from Delegates first coming into contact with active citizenship, to our work as Officials, ensuring the continuity of such youth space. I will strive to implement the motto to the entire Academic Team, emphasising the role of active youth engagement both within and beyond the network, allowing the Team to assume academic and creative independence. In this way, the empowerment of youth voices forms the very basis of our work from its roots.”

On behalf of the Head Organiser of the session, as well as the NC Board of EYP Georgia, we sadly have to announce the postponing of Tbilisi City Session 2024 due to some unfortunate reasons. The updated dates for the session are June 21-24!

Please keep in mind that the calls for members of the Jury and Media teams are still open, as well as the call for President!
