Moving Archives Moving Archives examines the cultural memory generated by the Georgian audiovisual media and the ideological structures within which that memory accumulates.

Public archives and other collection institutions have been an institutionalized form of memory for centuries. However, it is possible for archives to exist beyond the boundaries of the physical institution. The purpose of Moving Archives is to transfer knowledge between generations using archives, these repositories of memory, by moving and transforming them in time and space. One of the central

tasks of the organization is to increase public interest towards the recent past, visual anthropology, cultural heritage, its preservation and accessibility.
