Georgian Civil Development Association (GCDA) საქართველოს სამოქალაქო განვითარები? GCDA was established in November of 1998. Program goal 1. GCDA aims to impact Lagodekhi and neighboring regions.

It is the first independent, nonprofit and nongovernmental organization founded in Lagodekhi District. Transparency and accountability of local government bodies in the Kakheti region to ensure their decisions are based on the demands and needs of society;

Program goal 2. The delivery of quality professional services by civil society organizations (community organizations and NGOs) in the Region

to their target groups;

Program goal 3. The active particpation in civil society by Kakheti Region inhabitants, especially youth, and the realization of their rights under law. GCDA aims to build social prosperity, develop civic society, establish the supremacy of law, assist in the understanding of civic education, and develop civic initiatives. GCDA utilizes the following methods to pursue its mission: lobbying and propagating public interests, educating citizens about the law, encouraging community involvement, strengthening the civic sector, developing local government institutions, and furthering environmental protection. While implementing these activities, GCDA takes into consideration the following basic principles and approaches: Improvement of the social condition of the population and the implementation of legal demands.
