Samaritan Presbyterian School Sweeps Top Honours in SMOD's Grade 4 Spelling Bee Competition.
St. Mark’s, Grenada – May 2026 – Samaritan Presbyterian School delivered an exceptional performance at the Grade 4 Spelling Bee Competition, securing first, second, and third place in a remarkable display of academic excellence.
The competition was held on April 17, 2026, at St. Mark’s Secondary School as part of the 35th Anniversary Celebrations of the St. Mark’s Organisation for Development (SMOD).
The event brought together talented Grade 4 students from schools across the parish to test their spelling, vocabulary, and public speaking abilities in a friendly but highly competitive environment.
🏆 Winners
🥇 First Place – A’Diah Cox-Calliste
A’Diah Cox-Calliste emerged as the overall champion and was awarded a Laptop Computer.
🥈 Second Place – Akadon Joseph
Akadon Joseph secured second place and received a Tablet.
🥉 Third Place – Dennisha Fletcher
Dennisha Fletcher captured third place and was awarded a Starter Savings Account with EC$300.00.

The Grade 4 Spelling Bee Competition was designed to:
* Improve spelling and vocabulary skills
* Build confidence in public speaking

Students competed through several challenging rounds featuring tricky words, double letters, multisyllabic words, careers, technology, and education-themed vocabulary.
