Grenada National Archives As early as 1846 Grenada established a library and museum. During the 1960's under Sheila Buckmire we began our Archival Services to protect our heritage.

Library and Information Services in Grenada began as early as 1846, with the passing of a bill by the Legislative Council, for the establishment of a library and museum. Chief Librarian Sheila Buckmire began the historical records section of the Public Library during her tenure (1959-1985) forming our first official Archive.
