What is Grenadapts?

Grenadapts stands for Grenada Adapts to Climate Change - Over the years, its visual has become a staple of Grenada’s efforts to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The idea to “brand” climate change adaptation at a national level came in 2014, when the "Integrated Climate Change Adaptation Strategies in Grenada" (ICCAS) Programme started its education and awareness efforts. ICCAS, a Grenadian-German pilot programme, aims to increase the resilience of communities and ecosystems to climate risks in the tri-island state of Grenada. It is funded by the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) under the International Climate Initative (IKI). The programme is jointly implemented by the Government of Grenada, GIZ and UNDP and will run until May 2018.

Now that the project comes to an end, the Grenadapts brand will continue its journey, through over government programmes, to educate and raise the awareness of every Grenadians on what is being done and what can be done to become more resilient to the effects of climate change.
