Today we Throwback to the Winner of the Talent Category: Kaydon Lewis, reciting a strong poem about our village and the people in it.
โ Across Grenada, every village carries a storyโsome told in pride, others shaped by myth and misunderstanding.
Tonight, I stand to share the story of my village, not as rumor or legend, but as truth.
This is Brizanโbeyond the story.
They called my village names long before my time,
Old fearful stories, repeated in rhyme.
They spoke of a ligaroo, whispered in fear,
But Brizan stood strong, year after year.
For Brizan is more than a tale people tell,
More than a rumor that traveled too well.
It is a place where strong roots appear,
A village of greatnessโproudly right here.
From these very roads, Dr. Keith Mitchell rose,
Learning to serve as Grenada he chose.
From Brizan too, with vision and drive,
Britney T. Scott keeps her purpose alive.
We honor Mr Redman, honest and true,
Whose hands helped build what Brizan grew.
And Neilon N. Franklyn โthough gone from our sight,
His service still guides us, through his legacy light.
So when Brizan is spoken, remember this truth:
Greatness is planted in Brizanโs youth.
Not fear. Not myth. Not stories unclear.
For this is Brizanโ
greatness lives here!!! โ
