One week down, one to go! Our delegation of experts from 7 Caribbean countries has officially wrapped up the first half of an incredible learning journey in New Zealand. ✈️🐄

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?
You might remember our launch in Saint George, Grenada 🇬🇩. This regional initiative, hosted by the Caribbean Cooperative MRV Hub (CCMRVH) and the New Zealand Ag Emissions Centre, was designed to help our islands lead the way in tracking and reducing agricultural emissions.

After months of virtual training and regional workshops, we are now on the ground in New Zealand, visiting research farms, meeting with ministry officials, and seeing the world's leading GHG technology in action! 📊🌿

𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮 🇱🇨

𝙊𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 19𝙩𝙝, 2026, in Saint Lucia, the Caribbean Cooperative Measurement, Reporting and Verification Hub (CCMRVH), in collaboration with the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) 🇹🇼, jointly hosted a Cooperation Results Presentation at the IICA Conference Room, Sir Stanislaus James Building.

The session brought together policymakers and key stakeholders within Saint Lucia’s agriculture sector 🌾to share key findings from the Climate Impact and Data Enhancement Project. 📊⚡️
Discussions enhanced understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions estimation in crop production systems, while highlighting important insights on resource use, productivity, and the role of climate-smart agricultural practices.

The event also strengthened communication and coordination within the sector, supporting improved agricultural GHG reporting and more informed, climate-focused agricultural planning in Saint Lucia. 📝

The presentation was honoured by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia, reflecting high-level commitment to advancing climate-smart agriculture and strengthening data-driven decision-making.

We extend sincere appreciation to the Taiwan Technical Mission in Saint Lucia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Sustainable Development, and all participants and partners for their valuable contributions and continued collaboration. 🤲🏾🫱🏽‍🫲🏾🌎
