Tribute to Our Beloved Founder – The Late Patriarch John A. Noel
“A light that shined in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.” – John 1:5
Today, we pause in reverence and gratitude to honor the life, legacy, and divine calling of the late Patriarch John A. Noel—the visionary founder and spiritual father of the Children of the Light Spiritual Baptist International Archdiocese Inc. He was not only a man of wisdom and worship but a pillar of spiritual resilience, unwavering faith, and godly authority.
Patriarch Noel answered the sacred call at a time when the voice of the Spiritual Baptist faith needed boldness and clarity. Through trials, rejection, and spiritual warfare, he stood firm, declaring the light of Christ in the hearts of many. A trailblazer, he laid the foundation upon which generations would walk, pray, worship, and thrive.
He was a man deeply rooted in prayer, gifted in the Word, and clothed in humility. His voice thundered with authority, yet his presence comforted the weak. He nurtured sons and daughters in the faith, established thrones, and guided the Archdiocese with spiritual discipline, prophetic vision, and fatherly love.
Though he now rests from his labor, his voice still echoes in the walls of our sanctuaries, in the songs we sing, and in the hearts of all who carry on his legacy. He has left behind not just an organization, but a movement—a spiritual lighthouse that continues to draw souls to Christ.
We remember him not with sorrow alone, but with thanksgiving—for through him, God gave us a spiritual identity, a sacred mission, and a blessed inheritance.
Patriarch John A. Noel—your work lives on.
Your name is written among the righteous.
Your light, dear father, still shines.
Rest well, true servant of the Lord. We will carry the torch.
