Grenada Employers' Federation

Grenada Employers' Federation The Grenada Employers' Federation is the private sector organisation representing the consolidated voice of employers in matters of labour relations.

The Grenada Employers' Federation was registered as a Trade Union under the trade Unions Ordinance No. 20 of 195, on the 24th September, 1962. As an affiliate of the International Labour Organization (ILO), it is the Organization most representative of employers in Grenada on all matters coming within the scope of the International Labour Organization. As the GEF motto states, it will always striv

e to foster Healthy Industrial Relations. In this regard it restates a quotation: "Social and political progress depends on stability; economic stability depends on sound Industrial Relations; and sound Industrial Relations exist when there is close and sensible consultations between the Employers' Organization on the one hand and the Trade Unions on the other, when Governments are prepared to listen to their collective voices, and hold a watching brief on behalf of the community at large'. With this in mind, the GEF strives to achieve its mandate " to provide employers with quality representation at the organizational, national and international level in order to ensure the strength and success of the employer-community for the socio- economic well being of the nation".
