Ystradgynlais Public Band Ystradgynlais Public Band - Registered Charity Number 1046765

The Ystradgynlais Band was formed in the nineteenth century, though the earliest surviving records date back to 1903. As well as arranging local concerts such as this one, we support other community organisations such as the hospital, schools and nursing homes and take part in activities organised by Communities First. The Band competes regularly at the Brangwyn Hall and the National Eisteddfod, which is broadcast live on S4C. We’re a registered charity and none of our players, tutors, conductors or administrators receive any remuneration from the Band.

Another chapter in the band's history has come to a close. Libanus Chapel has been sold and we have moved out. Most of our stuff is in temporary storage and rehearsals will continue on Tuesday evenings at Coelbren Welfare Hall while we finalise our next steps.
