Coptoberfest Charity Beerfest 11th Coptoberfest Charity Beer Festival. St.Giles Church, Copmanthorpe, York ... 9,10,11 October 2025 🍺 Giles Church in the village of Copmanthorpe, York.

'Coptoberfest' is an annual Charity Beer Festival set in St. In it's inaugural year of 2014, the chosen beneficiaries, St. Leonards Hospice (situated on Tadcaster Rd. York), St. Giles Church in Copmanthorpe and two Community Groups in Copmanthorpe benefited from nearly £3k jointly, a great effort in our first year ... the festival now raises £5-7k each year! Inside St. Giles Church, we have around

30 beers from the surrounding area, including those from the nearest brewery & main-sponsor 'Ainsty Ales Brewery & Taproom', as well as ciders, gin, wine & prosecco, locally-made pork pies and live-music. Copmanthorpe Community Choir start musical proceedings followed by some great local bands, with mouth-watering Pie's from 'Ged Bell Family Pie-Maker' to keep the hunger-pains away! In addition to food & drink supplied at the Beer Festival we also have the following in Copmanthorpe ..... Royal Oak PH, Little Acorns Cafe, Banophool Spice (Indian take-away), Sizzling Plate (Indian restaurant), Copmanthorpe Chippy, Red Hot Chinese (takeaway) and Pizza Time (takeaway). We hope you enjoy our Charity Beer Festival and make use of all that Copmanthorpe has to offer .... please respect our village, its residents, clean up after yourselves and leave quietly and safely .... but above all enjoy yourself and we hope to see you year upon year! Sadly, a decision has been made that Coptoberfest Charity Beerfest will no longer take place at St. Giles Church. This has not been an easy decision, to make.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported 'Coptoberfest' since 2014, every single one of our amazing volunteers 🫶 and all of you who've attended year after year, and helped us to raise over £37k since 2014 .... you all know who you are! 🤗

'Coptoberfest' very quickly became one of 'the' go-to events in the village calendar, and every single voluntary group / organisation in the village has benefitted financially at least twice from monies raised, and the icing on the cake .... it has helped to bring the local community and friends together 💝

Discussions have already started to consider other options for either this year or 2027, we'll of course keep you all posted via the Village Newsletter and the Coptoberfest page.

'Beneficeries Evening' ... one of the most enjoyable parts of our little 💓

2025 gave a whopping £7000 back to Copmanthorpe tonight, so we all came together for a few drinks and a chin-wag! 🫶

We sincerely can't say this enough 💓 ... 'thank you' so much to all our amazing volunteers, Coptoberfest simply wouldn't exist without you all 💓

As with any event, these things don't just come together overnight, a lot of planning and dedication is involved 🫶

We have an amazing Committee behind the scenes, which after 11 extremely successful years, in which over £30k has been raised, all deserve a good pat on the back 👏

But by far, the biggest and most sincere thank you, 'must' be reserved for our amazing 🫶

We're so lucky at Coptoberfest, to have a fantastic team of volunteers, who love to come back year after year 💝 to work with, serve, and simply have a good time with their friends and local 💝🤗

Special thanks also to all our artists, none more so that our very own Accidentally Acoustic - The Band - The Band and CopOwt - The Band 🤘
