Some of yesterday’s mended items: a kettle, a Christmas jumper, a basket, a pair of favourite socks. We never know what is going to come through the door and that is part of the fun of volunteering in a repair cafe!

Hello! Our next Repair and Share is this coming Saturday 25th April, 9.30am to 12 noon at St Thomas Church Hall. Bring your broken things and see what our wonderful fixers can do! Cakes, drinks and a warm welcome also on offer.

I had the privilege of attending this event in the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday, where MPs were invited to learn about repair cafes and commit to making repair possible, accessible, affordable and built into design from the outset. 100 different repair cafes from across the country were represented and learning from each other was part of the joy of the occasion. Come and ask more at our Repair and Share session tomorrow, Saturday 28th!
