SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR A CHILD WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITY

A benevolent Bayelsa indigene who owns a private school is offering a full educational opportunity to a child with a physical disability who uses crutches or a wheelchair.

WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS

- Education from Primary School through Secondary School
- Transportation support: A car will be assigned to pick the child up from home and return the child home after school.

ELIGIBILITY

This opportunity is specifically for children who are crutch or wheelchair users due to physical disability.

PLEASE NOTE: This scholarship is not intended for children whose primary disability is autism, speech impairment, visual impairment, or hearing/ear impairment.

The child should preferably be an indigene of Bayelsa State, except where otherwise considered.

BOBBY-UGO CHARITY FOUNDATION PAYS SURPRISE APPRECIATION VISIT TO BAYELSA SSG:

Earlier this morning, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the team of the Bobby-Ugo Charity Foundation, led by the Fire General, Mr. David W Ugo, paid an unscheduled breakfast visit to the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government (SSG), Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, at his residence.

The visit was primarily to express heartfelt appreciation to the SSG for his unwavering support and goodwill toward the President of the Bobby-Ugo Charity Foundation, Comr. Ebikpoemi Bobby Ugo, as well as the foundation’s activities and vision.

As a special gesture of appreciation, the team presented Prof. Ayawei with a portrait photograph and a specially designed 3D-printed Bobby-Ugo Charity Foundation polo, formally recognizing him as the Grand Patron of the Foundation.

Responding, Prof. Ayawei expressed his gratitude to the Bobby-Ugo Charity Foundation for the honour and for finding him worthy of serving as its Grand Patron. He pledged his continued support for the foundation’s vision and mission, emphasizing that the foundation’s founder, Comr. Ebikpoemi Bobby Ugo, is an Ijaw son whom he regards fondly as a son.

Prof. Ayawei further commended the foundation for its vision and commitment to making a positive impact in society, assuring the team of his readiness to support its growth and initiatives.

In his closing remarks, Mr. David Ugo expressed profound appreciation to the SSG for graciously welcoming the foundation’s delegation despite the visit being made without prior notice. He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to maintaining a strong, cordial, and mutually beneficial working relationship with Prof. Ayawei as the foundation continues to pursue its humanitarian vision.

The visit was a beautiful demonstration of appreciation, goodwill, partnership, and a shared commitment to advancing positive change in society.
