Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Session

EDCCA, in partnership with Millfield PPG, is holding a friendly and informal awareness session for anyone who would like to learn more about the support available locally for people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Representatives from IDAS, Kyra Women’s Project and Survive will be joining us to explain the support they offer, answer questions and help raise awareness of the services available across our area.

EDCCA will also be providing a service update and information about the support we can offer within our community.

Easingwold and surround village residents — have your say on the future of our town.

North Yorkshire Council is developing a Town Investment Plan for Easingwold and wants to hear from local people about what they value, what could be improved, and how they would like to see Easingwold develop over the next 5–10 years.

A public community drop-in event is being held:

This is an opportunity to share your views on the challenges facing the town, potential improvements and the services and spaces that matter to the community.

EDCCA will be attending the Stillington Surgery Patient Participation Group Open Day tomorrow at Stillington Village Hall.

Come along and meet the EDCCA team, find out more about the services and support we provide across Easingwold and the surrounding villages, and see how we may be able to help you, a family member or someone you know.

There will also be plenty happening throughout the day, including defibrillator training, blood pressure checks, health advice, information stalls, NHS App support and refreshments.

Menopause can feel isolating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Our Menopause Support Group provides a relaxed and welcoming space to meet others who understand, share experiences, ask questions and simply have a chat over lunch.

The group is open to anyone at any stage of their menopause journey, including those who are perimenopausal, menopausal or post-menopausal.

📅 Second Sunday of every month

📍 The Olive Branch – Back Room

Meetings are informal, giving everyone the opportunity to get to know each other, share experiences and help shape future meetings and activities.

🚯 PLEASE DON’T LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE OUR CHARITY SHOP 🚯

We are incredibly grateful for the donations we receive and for the continued support of our local community.

However, we need to remind everyone that items must not be left in the shop doorway when we are closed.

Items left outside, even when intended as donations, can be classed as fly-tipping. They can block access, create a trip or fire hazard, become damaged by the weather and leave our staff and volunteers having to clear them before the shop can open.

Our doorway is private property, and leaving bags, boxes, furniture or other items there without the shop being open to accept them does not mean that the charity has agreed to take responsibility for them.

Unfortunately, items left outside may also become wet, damaged, contaminated or taken by other people, meaning they may no longer be suitable for us to sell. This can actually result in the charity having to pay for disposal rather than benefiting from the donation.

Please only bring donations during our opening hours and hand them directly to a member of the team.

We genuinely appreciate every donation we receive. The generosity of our community helps us continue providing vital local services, and we never want to discourage people from supporting us.

We simply ask that donations are made responsibly, during opening hours, so that we can safely accept them and make the very best use of everything you kindly give us.

☕ WELCOME TO EASINGWOLD – EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Our Welcome to Easingwold coffee morning isn’t just for people who have recently moved to the area — it’s open to anyone.

Whether you’re new to Easingwold or one of the surrounding villages, would like to meet some new people, or simply want to find out more about what’s happening locally, please pop down for a cuppa and a chat.

Our next get-together is Tuesday next week, and we’ll also be joined by a representative from Easingwold Town Council, so it’s a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the local community.
