OUR FOODBANK NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

MILK

One of our staple items is milk. It’s a simple food, but one that is essential for us.

1. We prefer semi skimmed, but will take any type.
2. A litre of UHT milk is a good source of protein and is used by people of all ages
3. Milk is used in so many food items, not just tea and coffee and breakfast cereals , but in a whole raft of foods such as rice pudding, omelettes, pancakes, porridge, custard, baking, even in mashed potato! etc etc. It’s also a great healthy drink especially for children as a good source of calcium.
4. However as we have to store our donations until they are needed, we can only accept UHT milk in cartons. It is no different nutritionally.
We try and give milk to all our customers needing help which does mean that it is always in high demand - and at the moment we don’t have much at all.
Would you please consider donating one or two cartons to us? It’s not a lot, but it will make a big difference to someone!
As some of our customers have found out, you never know when you will need us!
Thank you so much!

💙 Bereavement Support from EDCCA 💗

Grief can affect everyone differently, and there is no right or wrong way to cope with the loss of someone important to you.

Sometimes, having someone outside of your immediate circle to simply listen, talk and understand can make a real difference.

EDCCA has a small team of experienced and trained bereavement volunteers who can provide confidential, compassionate one-to-one support in the comfort of your own home.

Whether your loss was recent or some time ago, you don’t have to put a timescale on grief. Our volunteers are there to offer a listening ear and give you the space to talk through how you are feeling.
