The Hut York - Members Led Charity For adults with mental health / learning disabilities to have fun together, feel safe, develop & grow

The Hut (A members-led charity) was established to provide a space for people with enduring mental health and learning disabilities to come along and take part in informal learning sessions, develop new skills and to socialise. The Hut has been created to deliver activities, workshops and courses because we passionately believe in our philosophy and vision. We have expanding our service to bring more to our members and the wider community with the Hubble which opened in 2021 and our newly named Wellness Club. A very heartfelt thank you to one of our members, who kindly chose to donate money raised following the funeral of their beloved mother to be spent on our members.
We decided to enjoy a lovely day at the seaside, filled with fun, laughter and lots of happy memories.

Fish and chips, shops, arcades and plenty of smiles made it a wonderful day for everyone.

We are so grateful for such a thoughtful and generous gesture, helping us create special memories for our members 💚

We’ll be open from 10:30am–2pm, and everyone is very welcome. 💛

We’ve been busy baking up a storm, with tiffin, cheese scones, chocolate chip cookies and the biggest sticky ginger & lemon cake I’ve ever seen! 🍋🍰

Come along for a cuppa, something delicious to eat, and a good old catch-up. We’d love to see you! 😊
