Beetle Bank Social Farm

Beetle Bank Social Farm Partners in Dementia are a York based social enterprise who support people affected by dementia with innovative and evidence based services.

Beetle Bank Social Farm is a non for profit social farm for people living with dementia in the York area. We provide a day service on a Tuesday. Social or Care Farming can be described as the 'therapeutic use of farming practices' (Care Farming UK). People with dementia who attend the service can be involved in the running of the farm in the way they want. The farm currently has a lot of animals (cows, sheep, pigs, pigmy goats, lamas, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets etc) to look after. A wide range of activities are available in a supportive setting.

You will also find all the information you would need to make an inquiry or get more information about the services we provide.

So wet today! We changed plans and spent our morning in the barn feeding the lambs, cow and alpaca and holding guinea pigs and rabbits! Some preferred to work and did some sweeping up!

We’re back on Facebook!!!
This used to be the Beetle Bank Social Farm page. We have recently changed our organisations name to ‘Partners in Dementia’ so that our new services can feature here too. We’ll be posting on all three services over the coming weeks and months: Beetle Bank Social Farm; Cognitive Rehabilitation; Breath, Body and Mind. You can expect to see updates about our social farm, hear from participants who use our services and let you know about any upcoming workshops or events.
