Shipton by Beningbrough Shipton by Beningbrough is a village, just north of the city of York along the A19. Scheduled buses to York, Easingwold & surrounding villages.

There are many attractions and dining facilities, including a large country pub-restaurant called the Dawnay Arms and the El Treno Greek-Italian restaurant which is coupled with the unique Sidings Hotel created from historic railway carriages. Also the village offers a Community Centre which

hosts a wide variety of activities such as Dog Training, Badminton, Fitness, Dance and Music practice, as well as parties, fundraisers and other events. The Church Of England holds regular services in Shipton. The Forest of Galtres Primary School looks after children in Shipton and surrounding villages. Shipton is home to and nurtures many small and large local businesses.

SHIPTON BOWLS CLUB
Hosting an open day Sunday 28th June from 11am.
Come along for a fun day, bowls is a game for all ages and children are more than welcome to come and have a go. We will provide you with bowls and there are small bowls suitable for children to play with. All we ask is you wear shoes will flat soles, so as not to damage the green.
