Thank you to everyone who came to our sunny Picnic in the Park a couple of weeks ago. Bravo to our generous attendees, who raised a whopping £569 for grassroots action in the city!👏🏻 🌱🙏🏻.

We can now announce that Growing York (Growing York - Community led food production) received the most amount of votes and walked away with the majority of the funding on the day, while The Rogue Creators Fund (The Rogue Creators’ Fund) and York Anti- Raids () were our runners up.

All three projects were so deserving, and all three pitchers did a fantastic job getting the information across in such a short time 🎉.

We really couldn't pull of events like this without such passionate people orbiting around us and doing such progressive work. Thank you, thank you!

Massive shout out to our BSL Interpreters too, our caterers , our brilliant photographer and our hard-working volunteers, Mark and Kristoff!

STEW: Picnic in the Park has SOLD OUT! You brilliant lot have raised over £550 for three grassroots community groups. We can't wait to share more information about these groups and who won the majority prize pot!

Last Friday (24th April), we held our first ever Hodgepodge event 🌸🍃.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who came along!

Our hope was to create a space for community organisers and activists that felt free of competition and emphasised the need for connection.

Anu Priya and Becca Bunce took us through two interactive and inspiring discussions. Together, we thought about how to avoid harmful practices when designing something new, and how to keep hope alive whilst campaigning 💪🏻. 

We delved in to questions around our values, our accountability and who we rely on within our networks. Then we practiced holding space for others who are doing similar work and thought about not just the people, but the places and things that inspire and nourish us ✨️. 

Taking this time for ourselves felt restorative, and we hope that those who joined us walked away feeling a little lighter.
