We want to give a big shout out of thanks to the wonderful team Books & Bevs York in Acomb who have been an inspirational business partner for our Business and Enterprise group this last academic year. Hosting our Blind date with a book, we raised a fantastic £324 thanks to their support. The money is used to fund a celebration day and occasional cafe trips etc for the group, alongside giving a little pot to support their Enterprising ideas. A huge THANK YOU! to all who supported us by making a purchase of the recycled book products we made and sold at Book and Bevs Acomb. We have closed the project for the summer but aim to be back in the autumn/winter months (watch this space). Book and Bev is open all year round selling Books and well worth a visit. They have a lovely cafe area and their drinks are fab. Do mention us if you get chance to pop in for a drink and /or a cake. We had a great day out celebrating a successful year in our Business and Enterprise sessions at the end of our teaching year. Our learners run small enterprise activities that we base our learning around and this years Smash hit was Blind date with a book. Sorry its taken so long to share some pics.

Just one week to go until Outreach hosts our very first Camping with Confidence event at The Green in Mablethorpe! 🌟

With just 10 places available, booking is essential to secure your spot.

⛺ We provide the tents - all you need to bring is your sleeping bag or duvet and pillow. Food and drinks will be provided too!

Join us for the opportunity to experience camping in a safe, supportive environment, with an evening packed with fun activities and the chance to enjoy a camping experience with confidence.

Disability Athletics - Could this be for you?
Our friendly athletic group is open to people aged 8+ with any type of disability – physical, learning or sensory, and we make sure everyone can take part at their own level. When: Fridays 7-8pm. April to October – Outdoors. November to March – indoors at the University (with a December break). Events: Running, Long Jump, Shot Putt, Soft ball, Turbo Javelin. Coaches: Two qualified level 2 coaches – Lucy and Christina, with extra help from parents when needed. We are affiliated with Special Olympics York, taking part in their competitions as well as the YES series club events. We love a cinema visit. And York City Screen have RELAXED SCREENINGS designed to make cinema-going easier for those needing additional support, including neurodivergent audiences and those living with dementia.
