Family Fund

Family Fund We're Family Fund đź‘‹ here to support families raising disabled and seriously ill children. đź’ś
(2435)

We’re the UK's largest grant-making charity for families raising a disabled or seriously ill child, on a low income.

đź’ś Grants
Eligible families can apply for grant items that will help meet their child’s additional support needs and make family life easier. We provide a wide range of grants like white goods like a fridge, cooker, or washing machine, clothing or bedding for your child, sensory to

ys or play equipment, technology items such as tablets and laptops, or even a much-needed family break. https://www.familyfund.org.uk/grants/

đź’ś Wider support
We offer families information and resources on where to go for help with money and benefits, budget planning, their children's education, mental health and wellbeing, digital training and creative workshops. https://www.familyfund.org.uk/support/

đź’ś Get involved
We want to help as many families as possible, and we can only do that thanks to generous donations, and inspirational fundraisers taking on challenges for Family Fund. You can help raise vital funds by signing up to a challenge like: Parallel Winsor, Edinburgh Kiltwalk, the Great North Run, Cardiff Half marathon, an Inflatable 5K, Three Peaks, or an event of your own choice. https://www.familyfund.org.uk/get-involved/

đź’ś Family experiences
We provide ways for families to share their experiences, so they can help influence lasting change on issues that matter to them. We also offer families who have children with a range of conditions like Autism, ADHD, cancer, downs syndrome and rare health conditions, the chance to share their stories and day to day challenges to help with awareness and understanding. We love to hear from families and see photos of your grant items or family breaks to Haven or Butlins. If you’d like to share your story, get in touch with us: https://www.familyfund.org.uk/get-involved/share-your-story/

Today we launch our new report 'Digitally Excluded.’

This new research shows that families we support are being cut off and priced out of digital inclusion, despite the importance of digital access in meeting the additional needs of their disabled children.

Read our findings here: https://bit.ly/4g3YqL5

Please comment below to share why digital access is a necessity for your family and share this post, to help us influence future change.

Thank you for your support.

Did you know that our trustees are volunteers too? This we heard from Joanne McDowell, one of our Trustees:

“Volunteering as a Trustee with Family Fund matters to me because it is a cause that genuinely transforms lives. Serving on the Board gives me purpose, perspective, and it is a privilege to work alongside people who care deeply about fairness and inclusion. "

"It is a role that challenges and inspires me, and one that constantly reminds me why Family Fund’s work is so important - making a real, tangible difference for disabled and seriously ill young people, their families, siblings, and carers. "

"I’d encourage others to volunteer because it is hugely rewarding. Offering your time, skills, insight, and experience can genuinely strengthen the work of Family Fund and the communities it supports.”

As part of Wales Week, we’re celebrating the wonderful support of Atlantic Trampolines , based in Pembrokeshire.

Atlantic Trampolines is a long-standing trusted supplier of Family Fund, helping bring joy to thousands of disabled and seriously ill children through our outdoor play equipment. Together, we have helped expand access to safe outdoor play.

Over the years, Atlantic Trampolines has gone above and beyond for Family Fund by sponsoring events such as our Dragon Boat Race, supporting our fundraising gala and lunches, helping to fund our Wales Community Fundraiser, and spreading smiles through the distribution of our toy giveaways to families.

If there is a way they can help, they do.

A heartfelt thank you to Jonathan, Andrew and everyone at Atlantic Trampolines for your kindness, generosity, and continued support.

Wythnos Cymru hon, rydym yn rhannu straeon teuluoedd ledled Cymru sydd wedi cael eu cefnogi gan Gronfa’r Teulu.

Dewch i gwrdd â Noah o Fro Morgannwg. Mae gan Noah gyflwr genetig prin o'r enw syndrom microddilead 3q29, ynghyd ag awtistiaeth ac anableddau dysgu.

Helpodd grant gan Gronfa’r Teulu ei deulu i brynu ffrâm ddringo a llithren, gan roi ffordd ddiogel i Noah gyfarfod â’i anghenion synhwyraidd a mwynhau chwarae awyr agored.

Mae ei fam Taylor yn dweud bod yr offer wedi "newid bywyd" y teulu.

Rydym yn falch o gefnogi teuluoedd fel Noah ledled Cymru bob dyddđź’ś

This Wales Week, we're sharing the stories of families across Wales who have been supported by Family Fund.

Meet Noah from the Vale of Glamorgan. Noah has a rare genetic condition called 3q29 microdeletion syndrome, alongside autism and learning disabilities.

A Family Fund grant helped his family purchase a climbing frame and slide, giving Noah a safe way to meet his sensory needs and enjoy outdoor play.

His mum Taylor says the equipment has been "life changing" for their family.

We're proud to support families like Noah's across Wales every dayđź’ś
