At our meeting on Saturday Akhtar gave a very passionate sermon preaching on Luke 24:49 as his focus. He told us that revival is coming, it has been prophecied for generations, that a time of healings and miracles is coming which Jesus wants us to be part of. He asked the question what does God require of us? He emphasised that we need to know who we are in Christ and walk in it. He also warned of persecution that is happening in Africa at present. We then had a powerful time of ministry during which many came forward for prayer. Our next meeting at Foxwood is not until September.

York Filling Station 20th June 2026

We had a powerful afternoon with the Holy Spirit and an encouraging message brought to us by Chris Fleetcroft from The Bridge church in East Yorkshire. Focussing on a passage from Isaiah 61, where he connects the ancient words of the prophet Isaiah which prophesied the mission of Jesus into our context. We are called to carry out Jesus’ mission which brought liberation to the captives and riches to the poor.

When we draw close to Jesus, he fills us with His Spirit. When we encounter Jesus, he turns our situation upside down and we become oaks of righteousness, a position of influence in our society.

We are His splendour and majesty in our communities. We are to be seen to be influence our surrounding area. May His Kingdom Come and His will be done.

We meet again on 18th July when our guest speaker will be Akhtar Shah, who will encourage us to walk deeper with Jesus and the fullness of the Power of God.
