You’ve probably heard comments like these about older people…

➡️ “They’re not very tech-savvy.”
➡️ “That’s a bit much for them.”
➡️ “Let the younger ones do it.”

This Age Without Limits Day, let’s question them 💭

Because older people have so much to offer - experience, skills, and a big role in our communities đź’™

Let’s challenge the stereotypes, and see the value - not the limits.

🎉 A warm welcome to our first Age Friendly Ambassadors! 🎉

We’re delighted to welcome six brilliant volunteers who have joined us as our very first network Ambassadors.

They’ll be supporting older people across North Yorkshire by sharing information, raising local issues and helping us stay connected to what really matters in our communities.

🎥 In our short video, Councillor Caroline Dickinson, Older People’s Champion for North Yorkshire, explains why this is such an important step for the network and how ambassadors help bring local voices to the table.
