We’re delighted to welcome six brilliant volunteers who have joined us as our very first network Ambassadors.

They’ll be supporting older people across North Yorkshire by sharing information, raising local issues and helping us stay connected to what really matters in our communities.

🌟 Have your say and help keep adults in North Yorkshire safe! 🌟

The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board wants to hear from you. Their Annual Survey is now live, and your feedback will help them improve how they support adults’ safety, wellbeing and independence across local communities.

There are two surveys available:
✔️ One for the public
✔️ One for professionals working with adults

💬 Your responses are completely anonymous, and the survey is open until 31 March 2026.

Whether you've used safeguarding services, support someone who has, or work with adults in a professional role, your views matter.

You can also fill in the survey on behalf of someone else - just make sure you’ve asked for their views first.

We're loving the new campaign from the Centre for Better Ageing designed to prompt us all to question familiar assumptions about ageing and older people.

The Age Without Limits campaign comes with some great new graphics and there is also a library of free age-positive images that are easy to download.

The Network is working to make North Yorkshire a place where everyone can age well, and now we're looking for volunteers to get a bit more involved. Could you become a friendly face for the Network as an Age Friendly Ambassador?

No experience is needed - just a friendly face, a little time and the desire to make a difference.

As an Ambassador, you'd be helping to:
✅ share updates and resources
✅ raise issues that matter to older people
✅ bring together people in the community.
