FireBike volunteer rider Karl, was out at the weekend. First stop was at Harrogate BikerDown, and he then headed over to a busy Squires, before covering roads around Selby and York, and then returned to FireBike HQ 👍. Were you out at the weekend? Where did you get to?

FireBike volunteers Stuart and Karl were out on the bikes on Saturday. They visited Strawberry fields cafe, Seaways at Fridaythorpe and headed over to Filey.

If you've never attended a BikeSafe event, be it with Humberside or any other police force, then we strongly suggest you give one a go, because you don't know what you don't know, and as bikers, we need ever little bit of help available to keep us safe, upright and back home after every ride. 👍

So what do our volunteer FireBike riders do when they're not FireBiking or working their normal 'day jobs'? They go out on their own bikes of course! All our riders are passionate bikers, and all have psssed the RoSPA advanced test at Gold standard. Today volunteer riders Stuart (R1200GSA) and Ian (R1250GSA) met up and headed into The Dales to enjoy a 150 mile circular route on some of North Yorkshires best roads.

The FireBikes were out again today, in the hands of Andy and Karl. The guys headed into 'the dales' to chat to bikers at Manor Farm, Devils Bridge, Ribblehead and Hawes before returning to base.
All the team are passionate about reducing motorcycle casualties, and encouraging riders (and drivers) to consider taking post test training, such the Enhanced Rider Scheme, Blue Riband Advanced Rider Award, RoSPA, BikeSafe, or the IAM.

Volunteer rider Ian S was out on one of the FireBikes today, to assist Humberside Police to deliver their latest BikeSafe event. 10 candidates, 5 volunteer Observers representing RoSPA (John and Rosie) IAM RoadSmart (Darrell and Steve) and Ian, plus 5 Police riders. Ian was paired up with Andy on his Triumph 660. Andy is a returning rider after 6 year break, but does have previous experience of post test riding and driving, so he was pretty much on point from the off, only needing a few tweaks here and there.
Many thanks to Humberside BikeSafe team. A brilliant example of partnerships working together to achieve the same goal. Casualty reduction.

Volunteer riders Ian and Stuart are out and about today. They'll be visiting various locations and riding the 'biker' routes around the area. Please go and say hello if you see them on your travels 👍👍

FireBike volunteer rider Karl, has been out today, helping to deliver a Biker Down UK at Huntington Fire Station. Some great 'hands on' training that could literally save someone's life. If you've never completed one, you should seriously consider it.
