If you've never done a Biker Down UK course, or its been a while since your last one. Why not get your name down. You might save someones life.

🚨 Last few spaces available!

Our next FREE Biker Down session is taking place on Saturday 20 June in Thirsk and there’s just 1 space left.

Missed out? Don’t worry we’ve added more dates:

✅ Settle – 4 July (places available)
✅ Kirkbymoorside – 18 July (limited spaces remaining)
âś… Scarborough - 15 August

These sessions fill up quickly, so don’t wait to book.

🏍If you were first on the scene of a motorcycle crash… would you know what to do?

Because in those critical first minutes, your actions could mean the difference between life and death.

The reality is, most riders aren’t sure:

Who is most at risk after a crash
How to protect themselves and others at the scene
Whether removing a helmet will help… or cause further harm
That uncertainty is exactly why Biker Down exists.

Biker Down is a FREE, 3-hour course designed by bikers, for bikers to prepare you for the situations no one wants to face.

You’ll learn how to:

Manage a crash scene safely and effectively
Provide essential casualty care, including CPR, airway management, and when (and how) to remove a helmet
Understand the science of visibility and avoid common “Sorry Mate, I Didn’t See You” collisions
Delivered by emergency services and Road Safety Officers, this course gives you the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.

If you’re heading out on the roads this weekend, please take care.

With more motorcycles likely to be out, we’re asking drivers to be bike aware. Take a little longer to look, and double-check your mirrors .

Whatever you’re driving or riding, always adjust your speed to the road conditions.
Remember, on country roads there could be slow moving vehicles, like tractors, just around the corner.

It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend for team FireBke. Karl and Stuart were both out at various points over the 3 days. They started the weekend by calling in to see members of local RoSPA group Advanced Riders North Yorkshire, before heading out to other local venues around the region, taking to riders about the project and post test training. Were you out over the BH weekend? Post your photos in the comments.

Team rider Ian S attended Humberside Police BikeSafe event on Sunday. Ian met up with the other volunteer observers from local IAM and RoSPA groups and was then allocated his candidate, Craig on his Tiger 800 Sport.
Craig is new rider, having only passed his test in January 26, so it's great to see him already looking to improve his skills. Out on the road Ian and Craig worked on Craigs forward observation, positioning and speed management. All of which saw improvements throughout the session.
Back at Melton, it was time for final debriefs, and a group photo before heading back to Fire HQ. Thanks to Glen and Daz for an array of photos👍.

FireBike volunteer riders, Stuart and Ian were out today. They visited various locations around the region, chatting to riders about the project and post test training. They even parked their twin FireBikes next to twin Pan Europeans!
All our riders are RoSPA Gold qualified as a minimum standard. Have you considered post test training? If you have, what was your experience like? If you haven't, why not? We'd love to read your comments.
