Our brilliant team are out on Outreach as we speak and another team of brilliant volunteers will be cooking up a breakfast in the morning.
As the weather turns this weekend we’d like you all to give a thought to those out on the streets in this weather.
Every kind word or cuppa can make such a difference.
Support the brilliant charities in York that work with those on the streets or in unstable housing.

A big Friday Thank You to superstar Jo our community champion at Tesco Askham Bar for the fantastic donation of food and essential items.

These will not only go towards our breakfast and evening meal services but lots of snacks and drinks to help replenish our busy Outreach trolley.

We really appreciate the support and this will make a huge difference to those we help.

What a night! 🏆

We’re still smiling after an incredibly special evening at the York Press Food & Drink Awards 2026, where we were absolutely delighted to win Best Community Food or Drink Project of the Year.

To say we’re pleased is an understatement. It’s a real honour to have the work our volunteers do at KEY recognised in this way.

A huge thank you to The Press in York for a wonderful evening, to Fera for sponsoring the awards, and to The Cut & Craft for sponsoring our category. We’re incredibly grateful for the recognition.

Huge congratulations to all of the other nominees and winners. We were surrounded by some truly inspiring people, and it was a privilege to celebrate alongside such a fantastic community of food and drink businesses.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who believes in KEY, supports us, gets involved, shares our vision and helps make what we do possible.

A huge thank you to York Roast Co. for helping us out on Monday night by topping up our hot water when we were out on outreach! ☕❤️ It really does make a difference to have local businesses supporting what we do.

It was a busy night, and we ran out of food and drinks before we reached the end of our route!
